Trainee Stone Mason
Pay: (£31,200 - £35,360, depending on experience)
An opportunity has arisen within our production team for 2No. Trainee Stone Mason. This role is based in our production workshop in Lieurary Quarry, Thurso and involves learning and using a variety of equipment and techniques to produce our range of Caithness flagstone products.

Requirements:

Able to work both independently and as part of a team

Ability to read order documentation, schedules and drawings

Good acumen for maths
-
Physically capable of taking on the varied manual handling activities

Must be able to follow procedures and processes. This is key to ensure both product quality as well as health and safety requirements are met

Good technical skills, willingness to learn and patience. We have a wide range of products which all require the same high standard of finish
As this role is a trainee role, comprehensive on-site training will be provided however working experience in quarrying or construction industries are advantageous.
Depot Sales Assistant
Pay: £15.00-£15.50 (depending on experience)
An interesting position has become available as a Sales Assistant in out depot in Thurso. This role will involve creating a welcoming experience for visitors, providing product information and maintaining both our display and stock areas to keep them always looking their best. This position is part-time and likely to be seasonal with more hours required in Summer months to suit product demands.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Physically capable of varied maintenance activities, including use of site fork lift

Good acumen for maths for taking inventory of stock

Ability to learn, we have a wide range of products and finish options available
On-site training will be provided however working experience in customer service and fork lift driving would be advantageous.
