Counter Balance FLT Operator

(45 contracted hours per week)

This role is based in our busy production workshop where our Caithness flagstone products are made. Skills and requirements for this role includes:

​

Experience operating counter balance forklifts within a

busy working environment (operator certification essential)

- Forward thinking

- Daily checks and routine maintenance

- Good communication skills

- Good team working abilities

- Safe working practices

​

The right candidate may receive training in telehandler operations for tasks within the wider quarry area.

Stores & Dispatch Operative

(27 contracted hours per week)

Based in our Lieurary Quarry, the abilities and responsibilities for this position includes:

​

- Stores tasks and stock takes

- Communicating with office staff

- Wrapping pallets ready for dispatch

- Delivering products and operating small hiab

- Collection of production materials

- Routine maintenance of tools

- Assisting with installation of products

- Vehicle and plant fault and hours/mileage recording

- Vehicle and plant valeting

- Safe working practices

Stone Finisher

(45 contracted hours per week)

This vacancy is situated within our production team where skill requirements and tasks include:

​

- Polishing, edging and shaping stone products using

the combination of mechanical and hand methods

- Reading drawings and templates

- Working to bespoke orders

- Attention to detail

- Cutting to tight tolerances

- Quality assurance in accordance with ISO

- Good teamworking skills

- Lone working capabilities

- Safe working practices

Quarry Operative

(45 contracted hours per week)

This role involves working within our quarries as well as on production saws and includes the following responsibilities and tasks:

​

- Cutting paving products

- Splitting block material to desired thickness

- Quality assurance in accordance with ISO

- Working as part of a team

- Safe working practices

Trainee Laser and Sandblasting Technician

(35 contracted hours per week)

An opportunity for a trainee role within our laser and sandblasting production team where skills and responsibilities include:

​

- Operating laser etching and sandblasting equipment

- Computer literate

- Polishing, edging and shaping stone products using

the combination of mechanical and hand methods

- Experience in programs such as CAD

(beneficial but not essential)

- Working to drawings and templates

- Daily maintenance and checks

- Good communication skills

- Assisting with installation of products

- Safe working practices
