With orders leaving our quarries every week, we will be continually updating our projects.
Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland
With visitor numbers to the castle increasing steadily over the last 10 years, it was decided that visitor facilities on site needed to be expanded and so an extension to the existing visitor centre was created. Caithness flagstone was used in several areas of this project as it has been used already in other projects around the castle. Almost 300m2 of paving was used along with roofing slates and worktops in the new takeaway catering facility.
Custom House Square, Northern Ireland
Norse Stone produced over 1700m2 of 300 x 175mm Caithness flagstone paving which was transported and laid at Belfast's famous Custom House Square.
Church of Bruan,
The former church of Scotland building lay derelict and unused for sometime before our client took on the task of converting it into a modern home. Using the buildings existing features, they created a contemporary open plan kitchen, dining and living area. A floor to ceiling gable feature wall in the kitchen area was created using riven Caithness flagstone internal cladding. This was complemented with a round matt polished Caithness flagstone hearth beneath a suspended stove.
