Private Garden,
East Renfrewshire, Scotland
Contractor - B7 Limited
A garden transformation project for which we produced Caithness flagstone paving, coping and steps. These were used to create a raised patio area as well as a bespoke sunken area with built in benches and fire pit.
Visitor Center,
Eilean Donan Castle, Scotland
With visitor numbers to the castle increasing steadily over the last 10 years, it was decided that visitor facilities on site needed to be expanded and so an extension to the existing visitor centre was created. Caithness flagstone was used in several areas of this project as it has been used already in other projects around the castle. Almost 300m2 of paving was used along with roofing slates and worktops in the new takeaway catering facility.
Custom House Square, Northern Ireland
Norse Stone produced over 1700m2 of 300 x 175mm Caithness flagstone paving which was transported and laid at Belfast's famous Custom House Square.
Church of Bruan,
Caithness, Scotland
The former church of Scotland building lay derelict and unused for sometime before our client took on the task of converting it into a modern home. Using the buildings existing features, they created a contemporary open plan kitchen, dining and living area. A floor to ceiling gable feature wall in the kitchen area was created using riven Caithness flagstone internal cladding. This was complemented with a round matt polished Caithness flagstone hearth beneath a suspended stove.
RHS Chelsea Flower Show, England
Designer - Joe Perkins Design
The first RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden to be sponsored by Facebook, Joe Perkins' gold winning "Beyond The Screen" garden celebrates the positive and meaningful impact that social media can have on our lives. Norse Stone supplied huge natural edged slabs for the pathway a selection of natural edged stone used for vertical outcrops.
House of the Northern Gate, Caithness
Located at the most Northernly point of the UK mainland, the house underwent extensive renovation works. As part of those words, the garden and surrounding areas were also updated. Norse Stone supplied coping, paving, pillar caps and building stone.
Utrecht,
Holland
In collaboration with other Caithness quarries, we helped to produce 9000m2 of bespoke shape mixed colour paving which was transported all the way to the city of Utrecht in Holland.
West Minster Abbey, England
Designer - John Maine
For this iconic memorial, a piece of our stone was used to represent deep space and engraved with the equation describing the entropy of a black hole.
Holiday Apartments

Norse Stone was commissioned to provide matt polished kitchen worktops for 11 new holiday apartments, which opened in Summer 2016. This included sinks with draining board grooves, and cut outs to accommodate induction hobs.
Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre,

Norse Stone produced over 2000m2 of 200mm wide by random length paving which was laid in the external pedestrian areas surrounding the Glasgow Fort Shopping Centre.
Country Kitchen

This spacious kitchen was built from scratch as part of the restoration of a classic Highland farmhouse. Norse Stone supplied matt polished worktops and stone steps leading to utility room. The design includes two sinks, one as part of an island feature.
