For decades the coastline of Caithness has been recognised as producing some of the best waves and surfing conditions in the world so it was no surprise that is was picked as the perfect location to hold the Scottish National Surfing Championships 2024.

Thurso East's world renowned right-handed reef break is made from layers of Caithness flagstone making it the perfect choice of material for the competitions trophies. Polished trophies were contrasted with rough finished edges to mirror the coastline and featured a lasered design including the Scottish Surfing Federation logo as well as the category name and position.
